| opmerkingen | 5-16 January, Hoornse Meer, Groningen, Groningen, second-winter, photographed (R Winters et al; The bird at Hoornse Meer was observed not only on 16 January as mentioned in last year's report (Ovaa et al 2009) but stayed there for almost two weeks, together with a second individual on 5-6 January 2008. The total of accepted individuals for 2008 now stands at 13. It is noteworthy that in 2009, the first year that Atlantic Great Cormorant was no longer considered by the CDNA, the maximum number of this subspecies on Neeltje Jans was 15, including three breeding pairs.
